Vigil for people killed by ICE 5 pm Saturday, July 25 by El Cerrito Library

A vigil for people killed by ICE will be held 5 pm Saturday, July 25, in the parking lot next to the El Cerrito library.

The event was announced at the July 21 City Council meeting by Council Member Rebecca Saltzman.

“Saturday there is going to be a vigil outside the library at 5 pm for the many people who have been shot and killed by ICE, particularly the two men who were killed last week,” she said.

Saltzman said she will attend the event and has attended similar events in the past and that they are peaceful and family friendly. Attendees have been asked not to bring flames such as candles.
